Provoke are stoked to announce that senior Consultant and SharePoint guru, Alan Marshall has just been awarded an MVP! Alan achieves Microsoft Most Valuable Professional status for his impressive proficiency in SharePoint. Alan’s incomparable and industry-leading expertise makes him one of few New Zealanders to achieve such a lofty goal.
MVP awards are reserved for best-of-breed individuals who demonstrate exceptional aptitude, passion and skill in Microsoft technologies. In a community of more than 100 million social and technical specialists, only 4000 currently hold the esteemed title, consequently Provoke are incredibly impressed to see Alan earn such an honour. Alan also joins Provoke COO, Brendon Ford, in the MVP community, a great demonstration of Provoke’s technical talent.
Microsoft Corporate Vice President Rich Kaplan says, "As a recipient of this year’s Microsoft MVP award, Alan joins an exceptional group of individuals from around the world who have demonstrated a willingness to reach out, share their technical expertise with others and help individuals maximize their use of technology."
Of the award Alan says, “When I received my MVP award email I was overjoyed to be recognized for my contribution to the community by Microsoft. This has been a personal goal of mine for some time and is great to have now achieved this; it will open up opportunities for Provoke and myself going forward. Thanks to those who nominated and supported me through this process.”
And Provoke CEO Mason Pratt has a few words to share also, “Alan’s knowledge of and experience with SharePoint is second-to-none. His long-standing role as a Microsoft Virtual Technical Specialist [V-TSP] for SharePoint is testament to this. We’re so proud of Alan’s recent acknowledgement as a SharePoint MVP, as it not only recognizes his immense capability, but also helps to further differentiate Provoke from other players in the SharePoint partner community."
Earning his well-deserved MVP for SharePoint caps off a long history with the platform for Alan. He has worked with SharePoint since its earliest incarnations and knows all aspects of it inside out, from Information Architecture through to physical deployment of environments. He is also the SharePoint Auckland User Group Leader.
From all the team at Provoke, a massive high-five to you Alan!
And in other exciting Provoke MVP news, our esteemed director, COO and Microsoft technology guru Brendon Ford has been re-confirmed as an Office 365 MVP for another year. Great stuff B!
