A few weeks back the Auckland team pressed "go" on a new intranet for one of our favourite Auckland customers, Pharmacybrands.
Now, we don't necessarily plan to write about every new project that goes out the door, but we particularly liked the way this particular project showcases the abilities of Office 365/SharePoint online.
Our Auckland team have been working with Pharmacybrands, a pharmacy retail group in Auckland with approximately 300 community pharmacies for some time now and, when the client identified a need to improve their existing intranet and collaboration space for their users, SharePoint Online presented a very strong case. SharePoint Online ticked boxes from a services, platform, access and value perspective and, as a cloud solution, it also allowed for greater flexibility and scalability as Pharmacybrands' needs grow and change.
The new portal allows users to login and gain access to industry news, follow product updates, promotions and recalls, find information relating to events, and download documentation as they require it. The built-in discussion board features provides the opportunity for users throughout the region to collaborate, share knowledge and ask and answer questions. The self-service portal has enabled pharmacy self-service, allowing pharmacies to log in and edit their store details which then updates automatically on the public website.
Cloud technology is transforming the way businesses operate, and more and more organizations are looking to leverage the flexibility and cost benefits the cloud offers in order to gain competitive advantage.
Another great example of what Microsoft Office 365 can deliver in the hands of the right partner (if we do say so ourselves…)
