NEW ZEALAND FIRE SERVICE WORKFLOW SOLUTION

THE CHALLENGE

The New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) is comprised of 450 stations and up to 8,000 full-time and volunteer staff who work to protect and serve communities in New Zealand. The New Zealand Fire Service dedicates a significant amount to resources to educate communities and building owners about fire prevention.

Manual paper-based processes were an essential part of the organization which made it difficult to facilitate and manage information efficiently. Finding the correct information was time consuming and difficult amongst duplicate information, various network drives and inefficient processes.

THE SOLUTION

To resolve these issues, Provoke helped NZFS implement a solution based upon Nintex Workflow for SharePoint to automate time-consuming workflows and increase accuracy. The solution enabled all NZFS employees access to a central repository of all tasks requiring action.

By creating highly structured, customized workflows, NZFS were able to tightly control documents, task organization, approvals, regulatory compliance, accuracy, accessibility and deadline delivery. Streamlining everyday tasks has significantly enhanced the level of service that is delivered to the community.
